One of the largest jobs we’ve recently undertaken was providing photography for the NEXTEL Latin America corporate incentive tour of London. We were able to provide full photographic coverage of the 800+ guests, using multiple photographers from our experienced network of London based photographers, even finding spanish speaking photographers to better interact with our clients. Our brief was to cover the whole event from a documentary angle, recording the incentive winners on their visit from their arrival at Heathrow Airport to the event Grand Finale, an awards ceremony at the prestigious Grosvenor House with over 300 award winners. Also required was a welcome portrait of every single couple, (set up with the help of some obliging Grenadier Guards!) which we printed overnight and had hand delivered to each guests room the following day. This was a real logistical challenge, but we managed to get over 350 portraits taken in under three hours!
For the winners’ tour of London, we had three photographers covering 12 different coach groups across London, photographing the guests as they visited London attractions such as The London Eye and Buckingham Palace, ending the tour with a traditional pub lunch.
The final night was an epic evening, with all the winners from different Latin American countries cheering for their teams. They’d brought flags and national costumes with them, as well as a few musical instruments, and were ready to party in to the small hours. There were also a team of Lookalikes, with Prince Charles and Austin Powers being crowd favourites. We had two photographers working together to cover the reception, the procession of the winning teams, and the awards. With over 350 awards presented over 3 hours, the presentations were a great challenge to photograph, and we ended up with over 60gb of raw data to process – but our client was very happy to receive all the photography hand delivered on DVD and online the following day.
